Cosmos atrosanguineus, commonly called Chocolate Cosmos, have velvety deep maroon 1" blooms, strongly scented of chocolate, are borne on slender, wiry stems all summer and autumn. Prefers full sun in rich, moist soil. Protect with heavy mulch in zones 6 and 7. Ht. 24".
