These showy summer bloomers do best in moist, rich, well drained soil.
Once established, they are more forgiving of drier conditions. In general,
the white blooming varieties and the lacecaps do best in light to moderate
shade. Blue and pink varieties with ball-shaped flowers (hortensias)
do well in full sun to light shade. All the hortensias we offer are
garden tested for outdoor planting, not greenhouse pot varieties that bloom
poorly in gardens.
