Common Name: Persian Ironwood

Description: Superb small tree with multi-season interest. Red flowers provide a showy display in April. Leaves unfurl in shades of rd and purple, becoming lustrous dark green in summer, changing to various shades of brilliant yellow, orange and scarlet in autumn. In time, the bark exfoliates providing a mottling of grey-green and white tones. Attains a height of 72-96" in 10 years, ultimately becoming 240-480" tall with a spread of 180-360". Prefers slightly acid, well-drained, loamy soil in full sun to partial shade. From 3 gallon pots.
