Magnolia - Kosar-DeVos Hybrids - stellata Centennial

Description: Profuse 5" blooms, with up to 30 narrow white petals blushed light pink on the outside, appear in late April before the foliage and usually after the worst of spring frosts. Powerful, sweet scent; one of the most fragrant, free blooming and showiest of all the hardy, spring bloomers. An easily grown, versatile, shrubby tree with silvery bark and a full head of dark green leaves that turn bronze yellow in autumn. One of the hardest of the star magnolias; as with all precocious-flowering magnolias, choose a site with good air drainage and yet protected from strong winds. Named in honor of the 100th anniversary of the Arnold Arboretum Mature to 216" tall x 144" wide. From 2 gallon pots.
