Daphne - burkwoodii Carol Mackie

Daphne - burkwoodii Carol Mackie

Hardiness Zones: 5 6 7 8

Description: Intensely fragrant, 2" clustered florets of soft pink in May-June, followed in some years by tiny red berries in autumn. Small, slender bluish green leaves, narrowly edged in cream , are usually retained until the new year. Develops into a busy mound, 36" tall by 48" wide. Prepare a neutral soil of sandy humus in a moist, well-drained, lightly shaded spot, protected from winter wind and sun. An eastern exposure is often ideal. Our experience is that D. b. Carol Mackie is more sun tolerant than widely believed. From 2 gallon pots. Rated as Deer-Resistant.
