Description: Lavender blue 2" bell-shaped blooms in April-May, with occasional summer rebloom. Vigorous, free-blooming and exceptionally winter hardy. Fluffy, silky seed heads persist into winter. Prefers a moist, but well-drained, spot in semi-shade. These clematis are the earliest to bloom, with the buds coming from the previous season's stems. Thin and lightly prune to shape immediately after bloom. Shade tolerant. Ht. 10'.
