Clematis - Cardinal Wyszynski (III)

Description: Crimson 6" blooms with gold stamens and carmine anthers. Handsome, round-tipped, overlapping form like many of the Polish hybrids by Brother Stefen. They are best rejuvenated with heavy pruning every two to three years. Prune back to the lowest strong leaf buds (9 to 18" above ground level) in late winter or early spring. These are the best varieties to use intermingled with roses or other shrubs that require frequent pruning. Ht. 8-12'.
