Bignonia (Crossvine) - capreolata Dragon Lady

Bignonia (Crossvine) - capreolata Dragon Lady

Common Name: Crossvine
Hardiness Zones: 6 7 8 9

Description: Showy 2" trumpet-shaped flowers, red with bright orange throats, profusely borne in late spring and early summer. Hummingbirds love them. Pleasant light coffee-like fragrance perfumes the air at blossom-time. Semi-evergreen vine self-clings by hold-fasts that attach themselves to porous surfaces by tendrils and twining. Handsome veil of divided, dark green, leathery foliage softens rather than totally obscures its support. Rapidly growing and easy. Performs best in sun or very light shade. Very forgiving; also grows in deep shade , although less lushly and with fewer flowers. Not fussy about soil; even tolerates wet clay. Disease and pest free.

Height: 480"
Sun/Shade Preference(s): Full Sun
