Grandiflora - White Lightnin (GR, Pat. 4670, AARS 81)
Hardiness Zones: Description: Bright, clean white 3 1/2-4" blooms have scalloped petals, sometimes in autumn with just a hint of apple-blossom pink. Usually they come in clusters, although occasionally there will be one borne singly. Really good all-season performer, with a wonderful lemony citrus perfume, that keeps on producing an abundance of large ruffled blooms - quite nice as cut flowers. Super vigorous, well-branched, round-topped bush, 4 1/2-5' tall, with lush, glossy, dark green foliage. Overall habit is more compact and bushier than most Grandifloras. Hardy and disease-resistant, much more satisfactory as a garden plant than almost any of the white Hybrid Teas. Height: 57"
