Soil Preparation

When preparing gardens for vegetables or tomatoes apply 5 lbs. of Garden-Tone per 100 square feet and work into the top 4 to 5 inches of soil. When possible, organic matter such as compost, humus, or peat moss should be mixed into the top 4 to 5 inches of soil.

Vegetable Gardens

Feeding:
Seedlings: Feed one week to 10 days after planting
Seed Plantings: After seeds have germinated and plants have become established.

Quantities: Single plants _ cup per plant.
Rows: One cup each side per 5 feet of row or 8 lbs. per 100 feet of row.

Application: Apply in a narrow band around single plants or along each side of row. Keep 3 inches from plant stems.

Tomatoes

After plants are established, feed monthly during the growing season. For rates of application refer to "Quantities" above.
